Nathan Kalasho and Angela Yue built Lord Puffer out of an old space on Las Villas Way and stocked it heavier than almost anyone else on the West Coast. Then they did the part most shops skip — a lounge, a covered patio, and a standing Saturday BBQ — so there was somewhere to actually sit with what you bought.
The Arturo Fuente family has stood behind this counter more than once. Lord Puffer has hosted Fuente Fever, one of the largest Fuente events on the West Coast, with members of the family in the room and proceeds going to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, which supports tobacco-farming families in the Dominican Republic.
This is by far the best cigar lounge in the San Diego and North County area. The selection of cigars and the prices are great! On Saturdays they have BBQ out front. Nathan and Angela are great owners who go out of their way for everyone. The whole staff is awesome. Place is beautiful inside and out.
